Snowchange has three delegates attending this years Indigenous and Community Conserved Areas Consortium General Assembly in India. Regions spanning the Pacific, Arctic and Europe will discuss critical issues for the ICCAs in 2020.

The General Assembly of the ICCA Consortium is organised this year in Udaipur, India. Snowchange has established the 2 first ICCA territories in Finland. 2020 will most likely see at least 1-2 new sites added to the registry.

Sutej Hugu, Indigenous leader from Taiwan, will coordinate and represent Snowchange Pacific work at the summit. Tahltan Curtis Rattray from Dease Lake, northern British Columbia, Canada will bring Arctic voices and the deep exchanges from the Fisheries gathering in June co-organised with Land is Life and the Christensen Fund to the event. Antoine Scherer who is working on the Finnish and European questions, especially the Landscape Rewilding Programme will highlight success and issues from the boreal during the visit to India.
